Wednesday, June 20th, 2012: Ghosts catcher,Scott Marsh, had his way with Idaho Falls pitching today at Mike Lansing Field and mauled them for 6 hits in 8 at-bats, but it was all in vain. The Chukars ruined his great day by outscoring the Ghosts 14-11.
He told reporters after the game, "I had a great day, but you got to give Idaho Falls credit, they did what they had to do to win the game. They weren't very impressed with my 6 hits after all is said and done. They did what they had to do -- win the game."
The Chukars skipper added, "Oh, I think we noticed what Marsh did today. He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Scott Marsh hit a two-run home run off Matthew Lane in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, doubled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and hit a two-run double in the 12th.

Tuesday, June 19th, 2012: How sweet it is! Pioneer League starts play today. It is a new season and a new beginning for all the boys of baseball. Opening Day is here! It is a day of great excitement for everyone in the world of baseball -- players, fans, sportswriters, broadcasters, managers, coaches, scouts, groundkeepers, batboys, ballpark vendors, agents and the owners. Everybody is eagerly awaiting the first pitch of the game and the first home run. Old records will be broken and new marks set. It all gets under way today with this lineup of games:

| PIO News: Pre-Season Begins
Thursday, April 26th, 2012: The Pioneer League preseason starts today and the season schedule has been released. Baseball fans are getting excited as players begin to prepare for the regular season. The aches and pains of last season have finally healed and now it is time for players to work their way back into shape. Young players and team newcomers will fight to prove themselves as front offices across the country try to decide who will be on that Opening Day roster. The preseason is all about making tough choices and that process begins today.
